Samsung Galaxy S5: How to Set Home Button to Accept Calls and Power Button to End Calls in Android 4.4.2 Kitkat

Samsung Galaxy S5 provides you with various ways to answer or end calls, one of which is by pressing the physical button. In this phone, you can set the home key to accept calls and the power key to end calls. It definitely will be a similar way you used to do when you were still using a feature phone or an old smartphone.

How to answer an incoming call with home key?
You have to enable the option to allow you using home key to answer calls. See the following steps to do so:
  1. Open Phone app.
  2. Tap or long press the Recent apps key to open up the additional options and then select Settings.
  3. Tap Call.
  4. Tap Answering and ending calls.
  5. Check the box next to Pressing the Home key to enable this option.
  6. Now, when an incoming call is received, you can pick it up by pressing the home key.

How to end an active call with power key?
You have to enable the option to allow you using power key to end active calls. See the following steps to do so:
  1. Open Phone app.
  2. Tap or long press the Recent apps key to open up the additional options and then select Settings.
  3. Tap Call.
  4. Tap Answering and ending calls.
  5. Check the box next to Pressing the power key to enable this option.
  6. Now, when you're on an active call, you can hang it up by pressing the power key.

Given its function, this feature will be useful for those of you who want to be able to answer or end calls using the physical buttons instead of using other methods (e.g: using on-screen icon, voice command or gesture etc).
