Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: How to Add, Remove, Rearrange Home Screen Panels in Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow

You can use home screen in your Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge as a starting point to access all features in your phone and place widgets or apps shortcuts for easier access. Since home screen is a customisable part in your phone, you can make some changes, e.g., add new home screen panels, delete unused home screen panels, or rearrange home screen panels, to suit with your need.


How to add a new home screen panel?
When needed, you can add a new home screen panel or more so you can place more items on your home screen by using the following steps:
  1. On the home screen, pinch the screen using two fingers or long tap on an empty area to go to the edit screen.
  2. Swipe the screen to the rightmost until you see a home screen panel with .
  3. Tap the home screen panel with to add a new home screen panel.
  4. A new home screen panel has been added. To add more home screen panels, repeat from the step #3.


How to remove a home screen panel?
When needed, you can delete an unused home screen panel or more to simplify your home screen by using the following steps:
  1. On the home screen, pinch the screen using two fingers or long tap on an empty area to go to the edit screen.
  2. Swipe the screen to the right or left to find the home screen panel you want to remove.
  3. Tap and hold the home screen panel and then drag it to the trash can icon at the top of the screen to remove it.
  4. The selected home screen panel and its content(apps shortcuts and widgets) have been deleted. To delete more home screen panels, repeat from the step #2.


How to rearrange home screen panels?
When needed, you can change the order of the home screen panels for easier access by using the following steps:
  1. On the home screen, pinch the screen using two fingers or long tap on an empty area to go to the edit screen.
  2. Swipe the screen to the right or left to find the home screen panel you want to change its position.
  3. Tap and hold the home screen panel and then drag it to other location to change its position.
  4. The selected home screen panel has been moved to other location. To change other home screen panels position, repeat from the step #2.
